The Galaxy A starts with the new user interface based on Google’s Android Foot. It was released on the Galaxy S10 phones a couple of months ago and is shaping up to be a promising replacement for the previous Samsung Experience UX. As expected, it contains many customizations and tons of new and old features, but is presented in a cleaner and simpler way.
If you’ve used the Samsung UX in the past few years, you’ll probably find your way around easily. However, there are a couple of major changes that may seem strange or even uncomfortable at first, but we think it’s for the best.
Apart from the new coloured icons that may not be to everyone’s liking (you can change the default ones to another icon pack), Samsung has implemented numerous changes to make one-handed use more effective and comfortable. Now all the system menus, including the drop-down menu with all the quick buttons, are located in the lower half of the screen, so they’re right at your fingertips. It takes some getting used to, but we think it’s a pretty smart solution.
